BORN 11TH MAY 1967 - FELL ASLEEP 11TH JULY 2009
In memory of my brother Joe who tragically lost his life on the 11th of July '09.
We sadly lost our brother, husband, father, son and grandfather. Through this site we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who took part in the search for Joe's body, especially the rescue services from Doolin, their divers and search teams and the people of Inisheer who adopted Joe and Denise, his wife, as their own. We would also like to thank the two fishermen who found Joe.
To the O'Flaherty family we can never repay you for the kindness and humanity extended to us at this very difficult time. For those who sent messages of condolence, visited our home and supported us during this tragedy.
A special thank you to the bikers from Galway and our home town for their guard of honour in and out of both cities.
Joe was a keen budgerigar fancier and a member of the N.I.B.ZF.FBS. In his memory we intend to launch a trophy in the near future in his honour. Once again thank you to everyone at this sad time, its only but fitting to pay tribute to this character , my brother Joe.
Sadly missed by his Mum and Dad - Anne and Pat, Wife Denise, Brothers Michael, Patrick and Trygve, his sons Tony and Kevin, Grand-sons Jack, Adam and Dylan, his sister in laws Andrea, Aine, Katrina and families.
Special mention to his great friends Eamon and Angela Dunlop a true friendship and special thanks to Terri Sheridan for her invaluable kindness and empathy in the famlies toughest time.
